In both cases, you can download mod directly trough the manager, when you have been logged in Nexus with your browser. Then you will have to activate the mod in the manager and that will set them active. For NMM: click or how to manually download skyrim mods click, depending on your settings the mod in the list. For MO: set mod active from left panel mod list.

You can see why Ilja and everyone really recommends a mod manager You will have to delete files to get rid of this manual mod, how to manually download skyrim mods, and somehow replace every file with their originals to get back to a previous state.
